We’re trying to make HH online netplay as bulletproof as possible now, we could use your help with testing!

General:

  • Menu UI controls: gamepad controllers other than player 1 and player 2 can also control the menu
  • Color palettes are cached to reduce extra loading
  • When the game ends, all sound effects will be deleted
  • Shrunk down the resolution of the character select intro effects animation
  • Main menu links to the HH discord
  • Moved the P2 win counter to its original position in offline 2P versus

Universal:

  • Code refactored for reversals into idle states: Reversal inputs should be less buggy in the long term
  • Blue Parry window increased from 6 frames to 8 frames
  • Button dash into button dash no longer forces a kara cancel (ie. 1frame of 5B -> 6A+B)
  • Parry meter penalty removed
  • When strike and throw clash, the strike will win (handcuff glitch fix)
  • When throws clash, both throws will whiff (a parry sound will play)
  • Double KO is now possible
  • Draw timeout will now also increment the win counter
  • Assist characters now have a death plane underneath the stage that will force them to tag off field

New Assist: Assist Ollie

  • Fast and long range pokes (slightly altered 6A and 2C)
  • Long range guard cancel (6A animation)
  • Mini Proton cannon super

Subaru:

  • Sprites lined and shadowed:
    • jC
    • 3C
  • Unenhanced big star ball has changed to 2 hits, has higher hitstop

Mio:

  • Sprites lined and shadowed:
    • j2C
  • j2C changes:
    • Launcher property changed to -> Normal Strike
    • Hitstun reduced to default amount
    • Cause landing recovery
  • Hato B Invul now only lasts until the end of active frames
  • Hato A min damage 8 -> 9
  • Hato B min damage 9 -> 12
  • Hato C base damage 24 -> 20
  • Mio forward air throw damage lowered, and launches downwards faster
  • Mio backward air throw damage lowered
  • Fixed a bug where Hato could cancel into super while the round ends, wasting one bar
  • Fixed a bug where P2 side mio card projectile would be visually flipped for one frame
  • Mio’s KO placeholder voiceline changed (to another placeholder) to be more audible

Oga:

  • Fixed a bug where oga’s wallbounce hurt state hurtbox was subaru sized

Ollie:

  • 2B Improved upper body invul
  • 2B launches downward slightly slower

Kanata:

  • j6C hitstun reduced to default hitstun

Suisei:

  • Sprites roughed
    • Forward walk
    • Backward walk
    • Air Assist
  • Suisei and suicopath will change facing direction while stance switching

Suicopath:

  • Suicopath will change facing direction while airborne
  • Suicopath 2A duration 20 -> 17
  • Suicopath backdash total duration reduced
  • Fixed a bug where suicopath’s wallbounce hurt state hurtbox was not large enough

Assist Fubuki:

  • Fixed a bug where mirror color palette was the same as the default color palette
  • Added some fubuki voicelines

Assist Sora:

  • Fixed a bug where mirror color palette was the same as the default color palette
  • Add some sora voicelines

Assist Mio:

  • 2D refunds some sync rate and assist meter
  • Added Min and chip damage for assist mio B 
  • Fixed a bug where mio’s resource burning effect would happen during happy birthdays and burst etc.

Assist Sana:

  • 2D changed to left right steerable gravity well
  • Resource cost overhaul
  • Holding sana generally costs less sync rate, and costs more assist meter
  • 236D moves very fast, and starts with a forward boost

Assist Oga:

  • Slightly raised base damage of overhead attacks
  • Greatly raised min damage of all attacks
  • Super attacks now cause burst lock
  • 2D specials movement overhauled to be faster and farther

Assist Okakoro:

  • Outlined the action command timer for extra visibility
